Oklahoma Advanced Diabetes Care PLLC
I aim to provide high quality care to help you achieve your glucose goals.
Stephanie Porter, PA-C
I care deeply about helping my patients manage their glucose with a combination of diet, exercise, technology, and medication.

Before focusing on diabetes management, I was helping patients who were on dialysis due to kidney failure. The number one cause of kidney failure is diabetes. I have seen the end result of not managing glucose well and I want to help people avoid this complication, if possible.
I have also experienced gestational diabetes twice. I understand the hardship that comes with monitoring diet closely and doing 4 fingersticks daily. In the last few years, I have exercised more regularly and occasionally wear a CGM so that I can more quickly make a change if I see a problem. I have seen an improvement in my A1c as a result. Managing diabetes is a marathon and we need to make sustainable changes to see the long-term benefits.

I am happy to help motivate and encourage in any way I can but also give plenty of grace and alleviate the pressure to be perfect. No one is perfect. Let's achieve the best outcome possible, together. Glucose management is a team effort, and I am honored to be part of your team.

Outside of work:
My husband and I got married in May 2010 and we have 3 incredible boys who we love deeply. They keep us young in so many ways! We are very active in our church, heavily involved in sports (we even coach soccer and basketball teams), and serve at their elementary school on a regular basis. We know that time passes quickly and we are determined to prioritize spending time with our kids. We love OKC Thunder basketball and OU football. I enjoy reading for fun when I have extra time. We love to travel and hope to continue exploring the world. I am an open book and ready to be as honest and as transparent as possible. This year I entered my 40s and I believe it is going to be my best decade yet!
